The Third Avenue Trading story
Third Avenue Trading is an importer and distributor of premium European kitchen products and is proud to be the sole agent for Zwilling J.A. Henckels, a company that has gained worldwide recognition for its outstanding forged stainless steel knives, cutlery, cookware and other premium kitchen utensils.
Other brands that TAT represent include the renowned Swiss Diamond non-stick cookware; Staub enamelled cast iron cookware; Küchenprofi kitchen accessories; Demeyere; Rösle; Zassenhaus; Cilio; Forever Ceramic Knives; Mundial, Blomus, Stelton, Kahla Porcelain, ADE Scales and Preciosa Ornela / Jablonex Beads.
Founded in 1932 under the name Holdmann and Vidal, this family owned business initially focussed on a variety of sectors that included tools, beads and hardware. Emil Holdmann founded the company Holdmann & Vidal in 1932, and it served as import agent for many German and Eastern European manufacturers. Emil's son-in-law Tony Millerd succeeded him, and continued running the business until 1994, when his son, Robin, joined the company. On Tony's retirement Robin formed the company Third Avenue Trading, which changed the focus of business from indenting to importing and distributing.
The current core business is supplying speciality kitchen retail outlets with the ultimate in quality and innovative cookware products, designer kitchen gadgets and forged stainless steel knives.
